I have wanted to get back into model railroading for a while now. Ever since the McCloud River Railroad was demolished to make room for the office, I have missed having trains in the house. I was thinking about a nice rural setting with a lumber mill, some grain elevators etc. and then it hit me. The Richmond Pacific Railroad! Tons of industries with diverse traffic. Small enough that a good portion could be modeled close to scale distances.
